This fascinating little verite documentary following a gaggle of oddball indie pro wrestlers in North Carolina contrasts the subjects’ playful bluster with their more sensitive, intimate moments, thus becoming a subtle riff-note the title-on the curious tension between oneself and one’s constructed identity. Also, it’s fun watching these guys “hurt” each other.
